When I say this was the easiest chocolate pie in the world to make, I'm not kidding. You basically just make chocolate pudding and pour it in, no baking involved.
Over medium heat in a medium pot heat 2 normal sized jello chocolate pudding mix (cook & serve, NOT instant) with 4 cups milk.
Stir Constantly
Add 1 cup chocolate chips
Continue stirring until it reaches a full boil.
Remove from heat
Add 4 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cover the pot and let sit for 5 minutes
This is a perfect time to clean up the mess you've probably made. Oh wait, I'm the only one who spills pudding power all over and makes big splashes when adding the chocolate chips?
Pour the mixture into a pie crust and refrigerate until set.
You'll probably have some extra filling, I just put mine in a separate bowl to eat like regular pudding.
See how easy that is!? The hardest part is the stirring and the waiting for it to set.
