About Time - Movie Review

I've hit it big folks! Last week I received a free ticket to go see About Time at my local theatre.

I had seen a few other bloggers who had gotten the chance to preview this movie and I was too excited to have my own chance. I my mom was sent a voucher for 2 free tickets for being such a great blogger a member of the theatre rewards club to go preview this new movie before it hits theaters later this fall.

Okay so maybe I haven't hit it big, but that's not really the point. The point is I got to go see a really great movie, one I actually wouldn't have minded paying for, for free.

Tim discovers that all the men in his family have the ability to go back and relive moments of their life. He uses this ability to win his true love, Mary (Rachel McAdams). I know what you're thinking, this is exactly like the Time Traveler's Wife, they were even lazy and used the same actress. I thought the same thing when I first saw the trailer, but I was so so wrong.

About Time is a million times better than that!

Seriously, it is. This is so much more relatable. The Time Traveler's Wife just left me feeling sad, but this left me feeling full of life and just so happy to be alive. Yes About Time is a love story, but it's really more about being in love with your life than about being in love with any one person. I did cry at one point, but I found myself laughing and smiling much more often. It really touched my heart. I wanted to give the random stranger I was sitting next to a hung when it was over.

Also this song is just lovely

No idea why this video is so much smaller than the other

So moral of the story is go see this movie folks. I'll probably go see it again when it comes back, it was just that good.
