Friday I enjoyed have some family in town to visit. They stayed the night on their way home to Florida from New Orleans. We went to eat at Mugshots (best burgers in Mississippi) and just enjoyed catching up. I hadn't seen some of this family in over a year, so it was fabulous to have all 10 of us just sitting and telling stories and laughing.
Saturday was a very busy day. We had tickets to see The Book of Mormon in New Orleans. I could write an entire post on the play, so I'm just going to sum it up real quick for y'all.
Yes it is shocking and offensive. But it's also funny and smart. You have to go in with an open mind ready to watch art as written by the creators of South Park. The dancing isn't great and neither is the singing, but that's the way it's written. All in all I thought it was entertaining and was glad I went.
Then after the play we had to rush home because I had a date (with my mom) to attend the Junior Auxiliary charity ball.
My dad's office bought tickets but he couldn't go so I went in his place. It was a fun event with great food and music. And the best part is we won a few things from the silent auction, including $150 gift card for Newks!
Sunday was spent trying out some new Fall recipes and catching up on all the TV I missed last week.
What'd you do this weekend?
