9 reasons brunch is the best

Today I want to talk to y'all about something I'm really passionate about: food. But not just any food, breakfast food. There are few things I enjoy more in life than breakfast for dinner, and one of those things just happens to be brunch. Brunch is the perfect combination of the breakfast foods we love and the lunch time alcoholic beverages sometimes needed to get through the day. Restaurants that serve breakfast all day almost have it all figured out, but they're still not all the way there. Have you ever been eating at Waffle House or IHOP and thought to yourself, "the only thing that would make this better is a mimosa"?  Oh oops, that's just me?

I like to think brunch was invented by a mother with one child who wanted to eat a late breakfast and one who wanted an early lunch. Really I have no idea how the concept came to be, but I want to kiss that person on the lips for having such a fabulous idea. The concept has forever changed the weekend eating game. I hope to one day live in a city with so many fabulous brunch places I can try a different one each weekend.

Taco Bell may try to tell us 4th meal is where it's at, but I think we can all agree brunch is the best

2. breakfast tacos
3. nobody questions why you're coating your plate full of carbs in syrup
4. perfect time for girl talk, gossip, and lots of laughter
5. bacon
6. you don't have to wake up early on the weekend to enjoy it
7. more fun to say than either breakfast or lunch, seriously, just try saying it without smiling
8. can be both super casual to enjoy while hungover or a fancy treat for special occasions
9. bottomless mimosa bars
