5 companies I'd love to have as sponsors

If you're a blogger and say that you've never once wished a company would sponsor you in some way, you're a liar. While winning sponsorships and getting free things should never be the main focus of why you blog, they certainly would be nice perks not that I'd know for sure because nobody has ever wanted to send me free swag. One time I emailed a small online boutique that advertises a blogger discount; they never responded to either of my emails. I know I'm just a small blogger, but they could have at least responded saying thanks but no thanks. I decided that was just plain rude and will never shop there. But that's beside the point.

I've seen tons of sponsored blog posts, some good some not so good, and I've decided that what really makes a sponsored post good is having a good sponsor. Some products, no matter how hard you try, you just can't write a witty blog post about. While I certainly don't blame any blogger who accepts a less than ideal sponsor, because hey free money!, I'd like to think that only the best would want to sponsor me.

I've put together a little list of my top 5 companies I'd love to have as sponsors

1. Target - I could write posts and posts about the goodness I find in the $1 section
2. Girl Scouts - Thin Mints year round! I was a Brownie for exactly 3 meetings when I was 5, but then I was the junior troop leader for my sister's troop when she was in 3rd and 4th grade so basically I'm the ideal blogger for them
3. Barefoot Wine - The very first wine I ever tried was Barefoot White Zinfandel and to this day it's still my favorite. I know it's cheap and not the most exciting, but boy oh boy is it tasty.
4. Dove - preferably the chocolate company, but the soap one would be okay too. When I was in elementary school my mom would take us to this sketchy gas station after school so we could grab a snack before our different sports/music practices. Sitting up at the counter was a box of individual little Dove chocolates, you know the kind with the little sayings inside the wrapper, and she'd sometimes let us get one in addition to our other snack because according to her they were the best chocolate. I still think Dove chocolate is the best, and eating some always feels like a special treat.
5. a gas company - I could write posts about taking road trips, essentials to always keep in your car, ways to get out of a speeding ticket, and other driving related posts. They could pay me by filling up my car.

Who would be your ultimate dream sponsor?

PS: If you're from one of these companies and reading this let's talk!

  1. I'd love to have Hershey's as a sponsor. Free chocolate!

  2. Your first company hit the nail on the head for me! Target. I'm from Minnesota so I've always had this weird love for the company that most people don't quite understand. If I couldn't have that I'd choose Haribo for Gummy Bears!

I think of every blog post as a conversation. I hope you'll join in and leave a comment so I'm not just talking to myself.
