Friday Five

I haven't written one of these in ages so I thought it might be fun to do again. Does anyone still host a Friday Five linkup? It's been so long I can't even remember who I used to linkup with for these

1. The Lilly for Target lookbook came out yesterday and it's just as amazing as we hoped! The prints are to die for and the prices are even better. I really love that they've included the iconic Lilly shifts in the collection; priced at $40 I think it might finally be time for me to pick up one of these styles that usually don't look great on my body shape. I'm so in love I honestly thought about writing an entire post about the collection, but I'm sure you've probably already seen like 15 of those so I'll reframe. All I have to say is that those gold pineapple sandals and the gold edged dessert plates are the first things going into my cart as soon as the sale starts! PS: does anyone know when online shopping starts? Is it at midnight or do you have to wait until like 8am or something?

2. Anyone have any good feta cheese recipes? The other day I told my mom I was in a feta cheese mood thinking she'd offer to take me to lunch at this little Greek place. Instead she came home from Sam's with the largest tub of feta cheese I've ever seen in my life. So far I've just been eating it on a salad with chicken, cucumbers, and pecans. So any other ways to eat it would be appreciated.

3. I made the mistake of going down the candy aisle at Walmart on Tuesday. I intended to just pick up one Cadbury egg, but ended up with way more. Did you know they make Carrot Cake M&Ms!? Well they do, I think they might be a Walmart exclusive, but holy wow are they delicious. I also picked up a bag of the Starburst FaveReds jelly beans, which may or may not be my second bag this month.

4. Graduation season is right around the corner and I need some help. I already found some little gifts for my girlfriends finishing up this year, but I need help for my brother. He graduates with Honors from Ole Miss and will be headed to Med School in August. I want to get him something because he's my brother and I love him but also because I'm so so proud of him. I want something nice and fun, but also a little practical. Something that he'll use and won't kill my budget. I thought about getting him a year of Netflix, but I'm worried that has too much potential to be a major distraction come fall.

5. I mentioned it Monday, but I'm so so excited that I'm not working tomorrow! This will be the 3rd Saturday that I don't work since starting my job in December of 2013. I'm going to a BBQ fundraiser for our local symphony with my mom. My parents went last year and I was so jealous because I live for these types of events. So when my dad decided he's skip this year because he couldn't eat anything with his diet I jumped at the chance for his ticket. I'm going to try to remember to take some photos to share here, on Instagram, and on Snapchat (hill_goodfellow follow me!) but once I start eating who knows if I'll be able to think of anything other than the yumminess I'm consuming.

What were you loving this week? Any fun weekend plans?

  2. I used to make my own flatbread pizzas with feta: Tortilla, Pesto sauce, Shrimp, and feta...Pop it in the oven until the tortilla is crispy and cut into pizza slices. SO GOOD!

I think of every blog post as a conversation. I hope you'll join in and leave a comment so I'm not just talking to myself.
