Spending Freeze Wants

Y'all I have a serious problem; I'll tell myself I need to cut down on spending and then immediately start thinking of things I need to buy. The other night I was looking at my bank account and figured out if I don't spend any of my next 2 pay checks I'll have X amount of dollars by the end of April. I clicked out of that tab and started looking up prices for pedicures at a day spa. Like seriously, what is wrong with me?

I'm currently forcing myself into a spending freeze in preparation for the Lilly at Target sale. After adding up all the things I want from the lookbook I realized even with the great prices my bank account isn't going to be too happy if I manage to snag everything I want. So while I'm dreaming of those gold pineapple sandals on my feet here are a few of the things I wish I could buy but am resisting.

Maybe I'll get lucky and the Easter Bunny will bring me something. What's on your spring wish list?

  1. Girl, this is so me too. Also looking at everything I want vs. my fixed expenses is SO stressful. Half the time I say screw it go buy like coffee or something I for sure don't need just to make me feel better. Is there a shopaholics anonymous in real life--because I'd be their first member!

  2. I do the exact same thing so girl you are not alone!! I always like to treat myself if I can make a bonus at work, but I tend to go a little overboard quickly. Something that always helps me though is comparing what I want. Like do I want that KS necklace or do I want to treat myself to a mani/pedi? That way I can tell myself no to my other option, because I'm still doing something really nice for myself.

  3. You and I are one. I just recently put myself on a self-imposed spending freeze only to find myself online browsing all my favorite shops. WHY? Why did I decide to go on this spending freeze just as all the adorable spring lines came out? Worst decision ever.

I think of every blog post as a conversation. I hope you'll join in and leave a comment so I'm not just talking to myself.
