Welcome to Salsa

I could not be more excited to introduce y'all to my new blog, Salsa! This little rebranding change has been a long time coming and I'm so excited to finally see my thoughts put into something I can share. I did all the design and coding myself so if you see something that doesn't look right shoot me a message so I can fix it! Before officially making this big change I did a lot of thinking about how and why I wanted to rebrand. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who reached out offering advice and support while I was trying to convince myself this was the right choice. During the almost two years I wrote From Mississippi With Love I absolutely fell in love with blogging. I started that blog never thinking it would develop into this hobby that I so much enjoy today. My desire to ensure this continued to be a space I loved returning to weekly is what ultimately inspired my change.

In many ways this is still the same blog that it was before; I have no plans for the content or writing style to change. The new name does not mean I'm suddenly becoming a food blog. So if I'm not transitioning into a food blog, what in the world does the new name mean? Well it's very simple; Salsa is a play on an essay I wrote in high school about how life doesn't have to be made of all the best things to be enjoyed. If you look at the ingredients of salsa I'm not a big fan of any of them, but when you combine them together I'm in love. I honestly think life is like that. Salsa the blog is about not consuming myself with the many small things that make up life, but instead enjoying and making the most out of the big picture.
