Top 5 things I'm looking forward to in May

Happy May! I've always considered May one of my favorite months. I love spring and growing up it was the last real time you could be outside without sweating to death in the hot southern sun. Because May is the 5th month of the year I thought I'd share the top 5 things I'm looking forward to this month!

1.Going back to work! Today is my first day back at my job from this past ski season and I couldn't be more excited. I really love my job and the people I work with which is something I've learned is very rare in life.

2. Going home! I have a flight booked back to Mississippi for my baby sister's high school graduation. It'll be my first time to see my family since October; I can't wait to give everyone the biggest hugs. I'm also super excited to eat at all my favorite places and indulge in sweet tea for the week.

3. Getting a new car! I'm flying home on a one way ticket and then driving back to Colorado. While I'm home I'm planning to get a new car. I still drive the very first one I got in high school so it's time to trade it in and upgrade. Anyone have a suggestion of something they love? I'm leaning towards another Jeep, but I'm really open to any suggestions.

4. Heat! I realize my idea of heat and Vail's idea of heat are two totally different things but I'm so ready to put away my snow boots for good. Don't get me wrong I love the snow but I'm ready to transition into a new wardrobe.

5. Decorating my townhouse! I am so excited to make my new home mine. I'll be here at least a year so I really feel like I can make the space mine as opposed to the 6 month rental I was in before. Even though I have a roommate (fingers crossed for a third soon!) I feel like I can really make this into a grownup home and finally buy all those cute home decor items I love

What are you looking forward to most this month?
