I started with a cocktail, because why would you indulge in a treat yo self lunch without a cocktail. This is what they call the Spring Chicken, a lovely drink of gin, blackberry, lime, cucumber, egg white, and st. germain. It tasted just as good as it looked. I especially loved the glass it was served in, a less pretentious martini glass.
For my main course I had the Rotisserie Chicken Breast at the suggestion of our server. The chicken was cooked perfectly, but the real star of the plate was the miso peanut sauce. It was such a unique flavor I can only describe it as yummy.
To finish I chose the ice cream sandwich. Refreshing mint ice cream in-between two chocolate disks topped with a dollop of whip cream. The perfect way to end a delicious meal.
Mountain Standard is on my must visit again list for sure. Next time I don't know what I'll order, other than I for sure have to have some of their onion rings.
